The Hindu pantheon is huge!
The vast pantheon of Hinduism contains deities from the earliest Vedic religion as well as deified heroes celebrated in the Ramayana and Mahabharata, and local folk deities. Despite the multitude of gods, goddesses and other semi-divine beings in the Hindu pantheon, there are three main deities: Shiva, Vishnu and the great goddess Shakti. Some schools of thought see these various deities as aspects of the transcendent divine, an attitude that encourages tolerance.
